Additionally, the national park is located in central Dalmatia, downstream from Miljevac, and only a few kilometers northeast of the town of Šibenik. Specifically, it covers the area along the Krka River, which rises at the foot of the Dinara mountain near Knin, flows through a 75 km long canyon, and subsequently flows through Prokljansko jezero, before finally flowing into the Šibenik Bay. In total, it covers 142 square kilometers, of which 25.6 square kilometers are water surface.”
